More Updates

So now its time to update on the fun stuff we did since November!

In April Nathan ran the SLC Half Marathon. It was his first one and the longest he had ran up to this point was 7 miles. He did the half in 2:10:39. I was so proud of him!

He ran with his friend Anne and her husband Chad.

In April we also took our annual trip to Vegas with my friends from school. We drove this time and Nathan and I did some exploring of the Red Rocks.
Addison had her Elite Olympics in May. She is doing very well in gymnastics and we are so proud of her!
If I posted anything about the month of June it would be all school pictures, cuz thats really all I did! I did my precepting in June. 135 hours of working for free on the surgical unit of Primary Children's Hospital. It was a great experience and I had a fantastic preceptor! I will post about July and August another day!
Enjoy!

Overdue Update

I know it has been forever since I updated my blog, but I have a good excuse! Nursing school, work, and family took every ounce of time and energy I had these past months. I am happy to say that is all over. I really don't have a lot to blog about so don't be too disappointed! Lets get the bad stuff out of the way first so we can forget about it. . .
In November I had surgery to remove a grapefruit sized tumor on my right ovary.

I know, great picture huh! At that time we discovered we would be unable to have any more children. But Nathan and I had already decided that anyway.

We had to do about $800 in repairs on my car. .

Then Nathan had a little accident and totaled his car. We were luckily able to get a really good deal on a car and help his sister out at the same time!

Our dryer stopped drying and it was literally eating our clothes, so we got a refurbished one. About a week later our washer stopped working. We got lucky on a good deal on a nearly new one. Our fridge started leaking on our floor(and still is). Our hot tub stopped working. Our furnace broke a total of 3 times I think. Good thing it was still under warranty. Our truck broke and has been sitting ever since. And the cherry on top. . . our basement flooded and we had to replace all of the flooring!!! All since November of last year! Fun huh?? I am just happy that I made it through nursing school and my family is still in one piece and we are all physically healthy!
We did manage to have some fun amongst all of the trials. But I will save that for another post since this one is long enough!

What Have We Been Up To?

Well school has started again so I have been pretty busy. We have been surviving it so far though. Addison has been struggling a little bit socially in school. She has weekly appointments with the school counselor. She has been keeping busy with soccer and gymnastics. She mastered her back hand spring last Monday. Nathan and I are really proud of her. Donovan has just been being a typical 4 year old. He enjoys going to play with his cousins every day when I go to school. Nathan and I have just been working our bums off. Nathan finally got the sod layed in the front yard with a lot of help from his dad and a few other family members. It looks really good and it is a relief to have it done. It will be fun to finish with the flower beds in the spring. Here are a few pictures....

Donovan turned 4 on September 29th. I can't believe how fast time goes by.

Our first Watermelon of the season. We are proud of our garden this year!

Nathan and the kids went with his mom to the corn maze/pumpkin patch in Farmington. They had a great day! The brought home two pumpkins that weighed 90lbs. together!

I need to get the pictures of our grass off of the laptop...so I will have to post those later!

The fruits of my labors! Of course this picture is a little old. We are now getting lots more. We even have two pumpkins and about four watermelons growing. Yay!

Addison's Baptism

Saturday Addison finally got baptized. She has been wanting to for a very long time. We did her baptism seperate from the stake baptisms because we had a wedding to go to. So I put the program together. It was all done by family. It turned out really good. After the baptism the family went to Golden Corrall for dinner. It was a great day!

The Garden

So I promised pictures of our garden...so here they finally are. The tomato plants are doing great as always, the squash plants are not doing as well as they normally do. I even fertilized this year. I don't know what is wrong. Oh well. As long as I have tomatoes I am happy!
