Camping

Addison, Donovan, and I went camping with my mom and step-dad a couple of days ago. We had a really good time and it was good to get up into the mountains that I love so much. My favorite thing to take pictures of is scenery. So I had to put just one in. Donovan's favorite thing to do was cook things in the camp fire. Lets just say, this got to be quite dangerous. He couldn't quite grasp the concept that the cooker was hot and sharp on the end. He was roasting marshmallows later that night and almost caught Grandpa's blanket on fire.

Addison was SO excited to go swimming. She didn't believe her mom that the water was going to be super cold. This is about as far in as she got. They had fun throwing rocks in the water though. Addison and I had a throwing contest and I was shocked to see her actually throw farther than me. Donovan loved throwing rocks in the water, but he didn't love going into the water to get the rocks to throw.
We took a little hike to the cave. It usually has water in it so you have to walk on rocks to go in. This year the water was too high. It was above the rocks, so we didn't go in. Its a good thing anyway cuz I forgot the flashlight. My mom put me in charge of cooking dinner that night because she was busy trying to get millions of box elder bugs out of her trailer. We were having foil dinners and usually when we make them we put way too much food in them. So I thought I would be smart and do good portions. Well I wasn't smart enough to decrease the cooking time.

All but one of them were burnt to a crisp. And, oh ya, the mushrooms we put in...they disintegrated! Good thing Grandpa likes his dinner crispy!

Little Opera Girl

I know, I know! I am extremely behind on posting. I am sorry. I don't get much computer time. So all year long in first grade Addisons class was working on an Opera. They made it up and put it to music and made the scenery and costumes and everything. With some help from the Utah Opera Company. They put on two performances, one for the school and one for friends and family. They did an excellent job. The pictures didnt turn out very good, but here they are anyway.

Busy Life!

It's been a minute since I last posted. Sorry! With the end of school has come an onslought of new activities and projects. We got our new windows installed so we decided we needed new blinds and that we needed to paint the new trim around the windows before we put the blinds up. So we have been busy doing that. They are looking really good so far. When we get the rest of the house painted it is going to look awsome. I am excited. I have also been working on Addison's room trying to get it finished up. I just need to put on the clear coat and put the ceiling fan up. After that we will get her new bed put in and put it all back together. I am excited! We still have our yard to finish putting in as well. Ah the joys of being a home owner! I will try to get pics up soon!

Soccer Fun!

Addison has been playing soccer for a bit now. I, unfortunately, did not get to attend very many games due to my Saturday morning class. But I did get a few pictures from one of them. Her team has some awsome players on it and they have won all but one game. That one was a tie game. So they are undefeated. Her last game is this Saturday. Here are some pics! Enjoy!

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to go on Addison's first grade field trip with her! It was great to be able to spend some time with her and have fun. They went to the new children's museum at the Gateway. It is called Discovery Gateway. It is an awsome place and I would recomend it to anyone with young children. They even had a section for toddlers! So here are a few pictures!

Here is Addiosn doing some grocery shopping at the market!

and here is Addison and her BFF Rachel, I think they were trying to see how many first graders would fit in the Life Flight Helicopter cuz they were packed in there. They thought this was the coolest thing.

I know it's kinda blurry, sorry! They are playin at the water table. It was huge!

We had a really good day, and Addison was really happy that I came!

Our Awsome Fish

Here is our awsome aquerium. We were so excited to get this up and running. We went from a 10 gallon to this one which is 50. So it was quite a big jump. Its kind of hard to see details in this pic so I took some close ups from left to right.

In this one you can see the Ciclid in the front. He is a loner cuz he came with the tank and his buddy that came with him jumped out of the bucket the night we brought them home while we were sleeping. So he committed suicide!

Here is the ship and anchor. You can also kind of see one of the two silver dollar fish. The silver one to the left. They are hard to get a good picture of.
We took this barrell from our other tank. It looks cool with the bubbles coming out of it. There is also a rainbow shark swimming up stream.
This guy was also hard to get a pic of. He doesnt come out very often so I was lucky to see him. He is our amazing plecostamous!
On the left are the two tiger barbs. They move around really fast so these are not the greatest pics of them. I can not believe we had all of these fish cramped in a 10 gallon tank! There are 12 all together. We have two of each except the Ciclid and Plecco. And we are amazed that they have all lived through the transition. It has been fun!

Hooka Bar

A few Friday's ago Nathan and I shipped the kids off to grandma's and went snowboarding and went to the Hooka Bar with some friends afterward. It was the first time we had gotten out in a long time! We had tons of fun! I guess I don't have huge lungs cuz I had a hard time getting a good stream to some out! I wish I had more pictures, but I didnt take my camera. I will next time for sure! The Hooka Bar is awsome. I highly recomend it!
